Day 17 Family Photo did not happen! Argh! But we did catch this photo of us after a short hike. This was the same hammock that we sat in 6 years ago, when we first started talking about taking a trip like the one we are on right now.
The day started out a little overcast which was actually nice because it cooled our part of the island down a few degrees. (While we enjoy very little rain on this dry, westward facing coast, our small, beautiful, palm tree-lined resort is also surrounded by lots of dark, heat absorbing, vegetation-free lava. I’m not complaining – I mean, I live in Dallas, for gosh sakes where at this very moment, it is 96 degrees.)
